Ralls County Board of Equalization to review property values July 17

NEW LONDON, Mo. — The Ralls County Board of Equalization will convene at 9 a.m. Monday, July 17, in the county commissioner’s chambers on the main floor of the historic Ralls County Courthouse.

Any person who disagrees with the values of real estate and/or personal property established by the assessor may appeal to the county’s board of equalization. Appeals must be filed with the county clerk’s office no later than Monday, July 10.

The steps to appeal a current assessment are:

  • Contact assessor’s office before June 27 to discuss the change by calling 573-985-3292.
  • If not satisfied with Step 1, call the Ralls County Clerk’s Office at 573-985-7111 to schedule an appointment with the board of equalization. Appointments must be made on or before July 10.
  • If the results are not satisfactory after completing steps 1 and 2, appeal to the State Tax Commission by calling 573-751-2414 for a hearing.

Forms are available upon request at the board of equalization or the assessor’s office.
