HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Riedel Foundation recently awarded $1,000 to Douglass Community Services to facilitate training for the Farmers Market season.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) can be used to buy food at the Farmers Market. These programs increase access to fresh, local produce for low-income families while supporting local farmers. The Riedel grant will support a trained volunteer each Saturday from May 2 through Aug. 30 to ensure reliable and compliant program administration.
