Route P in Lewis County now open to traffic as bridge rehabilitation project nears completion

CANTON, Mo.— With the bridge rehabilitation project nearly complete, Route P is now open to traffic, over U.S. Route 61, seven-tenths of a mile south of Missouri Route 16 near Canton in Lewis County. Minor traffic impacts can be expected through the end of the week while contractor crews complete remaining work.

Included in this contract is an additional bridge rehabilitation project on Route 16 over U.S. Route 61, 0.7 miles north of Route P at Canton. This bridge project is complete and opened to traffic on Sept. 15.

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. was awarded the contract earlier this year in the amount of $1,360,618.33.
