HANNIBAL, Mo. — A free nature program at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center will address climate change.

“Climate Conversations: Understanding, Engaging, and Acting Together” is an interactive program presented by Gale Rublee, a nationally certified interpreter guide with more than 25 years of experience in outdoor education.

In a press release, Rublee said, “We seldom talk about climate change or global warming. It’s one of those topics that while we may be very concerned about, we often don’t know how to approach it or if anything can really be done about it. In this program we will briefly define climate change including its causes.”

The program will include others sharing stories and observations of changes in the environment and weather. Also, viable actions as individuals and as a community will be discussed.

“Humans really do have a great capacity to make changes for the greater good, “ Rublee said. “Please bring open minds and hearts as we explore this sensitive topic together.”
