HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal Salvation Army Christmas Campaign chairs Eddie and Tracy Lennox recently announced $125,541 was raised this year, exceeding the goal of $122,000.

The Tree of Lights Christmas Campaign is The Salvation Army’s major fundraising effort each year. Money raised during the campaign helps provide funding for programs and services that assist individuals and families in Hannibal and the surrounding northeast Missouri communities daily throughout the year and Christmas assistance.

The Salvation Army of Hannibal provided 788 food boxes containing a full Christmas meal to families and senior adults during the holiday season in Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Monroe, Shelby and Pike counties. In conjunction with Toys for Tots of Northeast Missouri, toys were distributed to 1,519 children.
