Shelby County Ag Night on Feb. 5 offers multiple speakers, free meal
SHELBINA, Mo. — Shelby County Extension will host a family-friendly event, Shelby County Ag Night, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at South Shelby R-IV School District.
The event will offer 30-minute sessions on technology, livestock, crop science, economics and health and will offer a free meal provided by Exchange Bank of Northeast Missouri.
Session speakers will be:
- Kent Shannon, Ag Tech
- Doug Mertens, Livestock Grazing
- Kevin Bradley and Mandy Bish, Are Herbicides and Fungicides Worth It?
- Ben Brown, Ag Economics
- Brenda Schreck and Jeremiah Terrell, Weathering the Storm
The main speaker for the event, Amanda Radke, Heart of Rural America host of “Radke Land and Cattle Operation” will speak following the sessions. The topic of her presentation will be “Plant and Prune the family AG Business to Reap a Bountiful Harvest.”
People who pre-register by Thursday, Jan. 30, will receive an extra door prize.
