HANNIBAL, Mo. — From cardinals and buntings to woodpeckers, finches and orioles, there are many birds flying around Sodalis Nature Preserve.

Hannibal Parks and Recreation will have a bird walk from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday, July 19. The program is for beginner and experienced birders.

Nature programs are led by Hannibal Parks and Recreation’s Nature Interpreter Gale Rublee and members of the Mississippi Hills Missouri Master Naturalist chapter. Rublee suggests bringing binoculars and downloading the Merlin Bird App for learning bird calls.

The program is free due to the generous sponsorship of Hannibal BASF. Register on the Hannibal Parks website: www.hannibalparks.recdesk.com/Community/Program
