HANNIBAL, Mo. — As the weather warms up, birds become more vocal, singing loudly to attract mates and defend their territory.

Hannibal Parks and Recreation’s Nature Interpreter Gale Rublee and members of the Mississippi Hills Missouri Master Naturalist chapter will lead a bird watching walk from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Sodalis Nature Preserve. Participants should bring binoculars and check out the Merlin Bird App for learning bird calls. Beginner and experienced birders are welcome.
