United Way opens Community Impact Agency application in northeast Missouri counties
HANNIBAL, Mo. — The application for nonprofit organizations providing human services in Lewis, Marion, Monroe, Ralls and Shelby counties in northeast Missouri is now open to apply to become a United Way Community Impact Agency.
United Way annually invites area nonprofits to apply for this status. United Way identifies organizations through the Community Impact application process to become Community Impact Agencies.
Organizations that receive the distinction of being a United Way Community Impact Agency receive monthly funding from May through April, with dollars raised in the local community. Additionally, those organizations receive support including additional volunteers, marketing support and specialized training.
To be eligible to apply for funds, organization leaders must participate in United Way’s nonprofit leadership training program, offered in conjunction with the Community Foundation Serving West-Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri that begins at the end of January.
Organizations must have their completed applications and all supplemental documents submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 15 to be eligible for consideration.
Prospective applicants can find detailed information and the application process online at https://unitedwaymta.org/community-impact.
