VFW Post 11041 raffle and monthly fish fry in Palmyra set for Friday

PALMYRA, Mo.— VFW Post 11041 will hold its monthly fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 5. The menu will consist of catfish fillet, VFW spuds, baked beans, cole slaw, cornbread, dessert and drink. Cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children.

The VFW also will hold a drawing for a raffle for three prizes. First prize is a Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm “Don’t Tread on Me.” Second prize is a Henry AR-7 .22 U.S. survival rifle with case and survival gear. Third prize is a framed art print by Michael Humphries. The price for the raffle is $10 for one ticket or three tickets for $25. Contact any member or stop by the hall from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Winners need not be present to win. The winners of the first and second prizes must be eligible to possess a firearm.

Both events will be held at the VFW hall, 316 S. Main.
