HANNIBAL, Mo. — The 2025 Wild & Wacky Art Adventure, a free art festival for kids ages 3 to 10 and their families, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 2 near Hannibal’s Rotary Pavilion at Nipper Park, 103 Broadway St. This is a change in venue from years’ past due to construction at Central Park.

Hannibal Arts Council will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Wild & Wacky with this year’s theme, “Under the Sea” Always a community favorite, the Hannibal Arts Council will be partnering with many Hannibal organizations, businesses and individuals to present a morning-long community event for the entire family.  Thanks to local sponsors, the event is free.

This year, HAC will be providing commemorative t-shirts while supplies last and providing a tie-dye station. The famous “Box Town” and “Drum Circle” will be back this year. In addition, projects and partnerships that fit the overall theme will be painted seashells, fold & cut sting ray, wax resist sea creature scenes, paper roll fish, fin foil fish and pet sea turtle.

The Hannibal Public Library will have a bonus booth, with a Mermaid project. The Master Naturalists will be present and will have information about Missouri’s turtles.

The Hannibal Arts Council created the Wild & Wacky Art Adventure to provide a positive activity in which parents and children can interact, work side-by-side, explore creativity and strengthen the sense of family. In order for the event to be free, local businesses, individuals and organizations are graciously sponsoring the event. Each year over 300 children enjoy the free event.
