QPD officers provide assistance as part of ILEAS Mobile Field Force deployments

QUINCY — Sgt. Brent Holtman recently returned to Quincy after spending a week in Milwaukee, Wis., working as a Mobile Field Force member of the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm Systems team for the Republican National Convention. Sgt. Holtman joined 200 other ILEAS team members along with over 100 law enforcement agencies for a total of almost 3,000 mutual aid officers to provide safety and security for the convention.

During the convention Sgt. Holtman and his team provided perimeter security consisting of working at vehicle and traffic checkpoints.

Sgt. Ryan Witt and Sgt Holtman were deployed to Springfield during the week of July 21 to assist with security during the demonstrations resulting from the officer involved shooting with the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Department deputy. This multi-agency deployment consisted of 15-20 officers from 10 different agencies along with a team from the Springfield Police Department.
