TriState Diversity Coalition’s fourth annual Pride in the Park event set for Sunday at Clat Adams Park
QUINCY — The TriState Diversity Coalition will hold its fourth annual Pride in the Park, called by organizers “a celebration of LGBTQ pride, diversity and inclusion,” from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, at Clat Adams Park.
Douglas Peterson, president of the TriState Diversity Coalition, expressed her enthusiasm for this year’s event in a press release, saying, “Pride in the Park is more than just a celebration. It’s a testament to our commitment to fostering an inclusive community where everyone feels valued and supported. We are thrilled to showcase the diversity and creativity of our region through this event.”
The festival will feature local musicians and drag artists. A variety of vendors, such as local businesses, local non-profits and community outreach organizations, will be in the park offering resources and information.
“This event is an opportunity for us to come together, celebrate our achievements and continue working towards a future where diversity, equity and inclusion are celebrated and embraced,” Peterson said.
The TriState Diversity Coalition promotes and celebrates diversity, equity and inclusion across Illinois, Missouri and Iowa. Its mission is to bring people and organizations together to foster understanding, collaboratio, and support for diverse communities by providing resources, events, training and advocacy.
