Quincy Humane Society to hold ‘kitten shower’ Sunday

Quincy-Humane-Society-07082019

QUINCY — Quincy Humane Society will be the host of a “kitten shower” event from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in the society’s community room to celebrate the upcoming arrival of kittens currently in foster care.

Each spring marks the beginning of “kitten season,” a time of year when many kittens flood animal shelters across the country. Quincy Humane Society now has more than 40 kittens in its care. It is in desperate need of supplies to provide formula, food and other medical supplies. Also needed are foster families who can provide temporary care for these kittens, and as well as monetary gifts to offset the costs to take in the kittens.

People interested in supporting the kittens in foster care can donate supplies during the event or drop them off at the shelter. The Quincy Humane Society also has a kitten registry through Amazon.
