Nominations due January 26

The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the 2022 Agribusiness of the Year and Larry Fischer Ag Educator of the Year.

Since 2000, the Chamber has given an Agribusiness of the Year Award to emphasize the importance of the agriculture industry on the stability of our local economy. Chamber is looking for what makes potential nominees stand out among their competitors, how they serve their community, and how they serve the ag community?

The Larry Fischer Ag Educator of the Year Award has been awarded since 2015 and honors an individual who has made an impact on students and the future of the agriculture. The Ag Educator of the Year Award is co-sponsored by John Wood Community College Ag Alumni. When thinking about an ag educator, how many lives have they touched? How has that educator promoted interest in ag-related careers?

The deadline to submit nominations is Wednesday, January 26, at 5 p.m. Nominations can be made by going to www.quincychamber.org. The winners will be recognized at the First Bankers Trust Ag Banquet on March 8, 2022.
