Alabama headlines entertainment lineup for 75th annual Tri-State Rodeo in Fort Madison on Sept. 6-9

FORT MADISON, Iowa — The schedule for the 75th annual Tri-State Rodeo, which will take place in Fort Madison Sept. 6–9, recently was released.

The Tri-State Rodeo has been named as one of the nation’s top five large outdoor rodeos since 2000. The TSR Chute Out brings the top rodeo athletes from around the world.  

Ian Munsick, an artist from Wyoming, will be headlining Wednesday, Sept. 6. Munsick, who will release his second album this month, has already amassed more than 400 million streams.

Chris Janson will perform Thursday, Sept. 7. Janson has songs such as “Buy Me a Boat,” “Done,” “Fix a Drink,” “Good Vibes,” and “Drunk Girl.” He has amassed four No. 1 songs and many top five hits.

The legendary country music band Alabama will perform Friday, Sept. 8.

Alabama broke through in 1980 with its first Top 20 hit, “My Home’s In Alabama,” and has since sold more than 80 million albums. They have charted 43 No. 1 singles, including 21 No. 1 singles in a row. Alabama has won 178 CMA awards, Grammy awards and ACM awards along with 21 gold, platinum and multi-platinum albums.

Alabama was named the RIAA’s country group of the century. It is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Riley Green will headline the entertainment on Saturday, Sept. 9. Green has had two No. 1 singles along with multiple chart-topping hits. Rolling Stone has hailed his musical perspective as “drinks-in-the-air 90s country at an Alabama vs. Auburn tailgate.”

Three Iowa favorite party bands will perform in the Bud Light Stockyard following the main stage concert each night.

  • Wednesday — The Tank Anthony Band
  • Thursday — NATU Band
  • Friday and Saturday — Stumptown

Each night will highlight multiple rodeo events with long-time rodeo announcer Boyd Polhamus, multi-award winning barrelman Justin Rumford, bullfighters, Dusty Tuckness and Nathan Harp. This year’s specialty act is Cowboy Kenny Steel Rodeo Freestyle Motocross.
