QUINCY — The community is invited to Quincy Art Center’s annual ArtFest from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at The Art Center, 1515 Jersey. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.

This is a great opportunity for families to come together and get a glimpse of the educational services and programming The Art Center provides throughout Quincy and the surrounding area. Free and low-cost interactive activities can be enjoyed by any person of any age, making it a great time to get creative.

The Art Center also will have several exhibits on display indoors during the event:

  • the 2023 students and Instructors of the Quincy Art Center Exhibit
  • the 14th annual members of the Quincy Art Center Exhibit
  • the Quincy Children’s Museum Satellite Exhibit Curiosity Magnified
  • AfroNOW: A Journey through Blackest Space on the Other Side of Time by Stacey A. Robinson.

All exhibits will be available to view in the Art Center’s galleries. ArtFest participants will have the opportunity to do an activity that ties into the exhibit and also meet Robinson.

The Art Center will welcome a number of community partners to the lawn with their own activities, including Arts Quincy, Quincy Children’s Museum, Quincy Public Library, Quincy Museum and more. Local musician Kathy Brink will perform. KICK-FM will broadcast from the event, and Fatbacks BBQ will have lunch items for sale. The latest details on ArtFest 2023 can be found at
