Arts Quincy offering informational session Wednesday about grant opportunities from Illinois Arts Council

Arts Quincy

QUINCY — Arts Quincy will welcome the Illinois Arts Council for an in-person informational session on its new grant opportunities at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, at Quincy Museum, 1601 Maine.

The informational session and Q&A will last about 60-90 minutes. An RSVP is not required but will ensure you receive updates before or after the presentation. Register online at https:/ bit.ly/4cloQmt.

The Illinois Arts Council is a state agency that provides grants for the arts in Illinois. The IAC has streamlined and simplified its grant programs and application process in the past year. It also has adopted a regional model for its grantmaking to allow for easier outreach to communities across the state. Jerome Grand oversees the Western Region and will be presenting.

The session will review IAC’s grant opportunities, focusing on the recently released General Operating Support and Youth Employment in the Arts grant, currently open with applications due Friday, July 19.

IACA is hoping to connect with:

  • Artists
  • Art educators
  • Non-profits that do arts-based programming in support of their mission
  • Community arts organizations that are, or want to be 501(c)(3) non-profits
  • City, park district and library arts programmers
  • Local arts councils

For people unable to attend this meeting, visit the IAC’s Workshops and Webinars page about the possibility of joining a webinar, dropping in or another in-person informational session.

For more information or questions, email Grand at jerome.grand@illinois.gov or office@artsquincy.org or call Arts Quincy at 217-222-3432.
