AYR Wellness to have movie character costume event on Saturday at State Street Theater

QUINCY — AYR Wellness will be the host of a Movie Character Costume Extravaganza on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the State Street Theater. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m.

Fans of film and fashion can celebrate their favorite characters. The evening will include a costume contest with prizes provided by local restaurants and businesses with a total value of more than $500.

Live music will be performed by Gypsy Tango Foxtrot, which will be playing movie soundtracks throughout film history. The opening act will feature the return of Cheeks McGee.

The Modern Portrait will provide red carpet photography, using its stylized interpretation of how to take the proper selfie.

Guests can enjoy movie-themed craft cocktails from the bar, along with Calftown Cafe next door providing food throughout the night.

The cost for this 21-and-older event is $10, with tickets sold at the door.
