C-SC Theatre Department presents ‘She Kills Monsters’ this weekend
CANTON, Mo. — Culver-Stockton College’s Department of Theatre welcomes audiences to campus for heart-pounding performances of “She Kills Monsters” in the Mabee Little Theatre. The show will run at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 5, then conclude at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 6.
A play by Qui Nguyen, “She Kills Monsters” tells the story of Agnes Evans (senior Kaitlyn Beth) as she leaves her childhood home following the death of her younger teenage sister, Tilly (freshman Zoey Kiser). However, when Agnes finds Tilly’s “Dungeons and Dragons” notebook, she finds herself catapulted into an adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge. C-SC student actors deliver a dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies and 90’s pop culture.
Director Haidee Heaton, professor of theatre, leads the production team of set designer Andy Trusley, assistant professor of theatre; student lighting designer sophomore Megan Eaton; projection designer alumnus Chris Deeds; and assistant technical director Michael York.
Admission is free for C-SC students, faculty and staff. Admission for the public is $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
