QUINCY — Quincy Community Theatre recently announced the cast members of “SIX: Teen Edition,” who will tell the story of Henry VIII’s six wives.

The nine queens are:

  • Aliviya Oshner as Catherine of Aragon
  • Adriana Schmidt as Anne Boleyn
  • Caleigh Twaddle as Jane Seymour
  • Morgan Zanger as Anna of Cleves
  • Anna Hampsmire as Katherine Howard
  • Keyarri Holder as Catherine Parr
  • Jada Penick, Lady-in-Waiting
  • Ruby Griffard, Lady-in-Waiting
  • Marissa Rabe, Lady-in-Waiting

“SIX: Teen Edition” is under the direction of education director Brendan Shea.

In a press release, Shea said, “This is not your typical musical, but a dynamic, immersive pop concert that also tells a compelling story. It’s the story of six real women reclaiming their place in history as their own fierce selves, not just wives of the King of England.”

The production team consists of Megan Masterman as vocal director, Lindsey Stroot as choreographer, stage management by Bailey McNamar, costume design by Jayden Dreyer, scenic design by Harrison Clarke, assistant stage manager Cecilia Bruening and build manager Patrick Regner.

“QCT is honored to be one of the first student theatre programs permitted to bring this blockbuster show to the region, which speaks volumes about the quality of our student performers and volunteers,” Shea said. “’SIX: Teen Edition’ is an entirely new experience tailor-made for the teenagers in our community —both on-stage and in the crowd.”

Performances are Jan 22-26, 2025. Tickets will go on sale Jan. 6. Audience sizes will be limited to 250 patrons.

Discovery Night for “SIX: Teen Edition” will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 14, at QCT. The free event will give participants a view into the production process with discussion and Q&A. Immediately following the Jan. 24 performance will be a Q&A talk-back session with the cast and crew.

QCT needs volunteers to help build the set, scan tickets, usher and more for this production. Visit http://1qct.org or call the box office at 217-222-3209 for more information on how to get involved.

Quincy Community Theatre’s 2025 season is sponsored by Gardner Denver and Knapheide Manufacturing.
