Celebrate excellence in literature, media at annual Awards Gala June 7 at Corinthian Event Center

QUINCY — Literary excellence and groundbreaking achievements in media will be celebrated on Saturday, June 7, at the Corinthian Event Center, 415 Hampshire.
The festivities begin in the afternoon with author readings from 1 to 3 p.m. Open to the public, this free event invites attendees to immerse themselves in literary works and engage with authors in a relaxed setting.
The celebration continues that night with Indies United Publishing House hosting the ninth annual Women in Literature, Media and Journalism Awards Gala. The evening will spotlight winners of the Small Bites Short Stories Contest and honor authors and media professionals for their exceptional contributions to the literary world.
The gala awards dinner will begin at 6 p.m., featuring the following guest speakers:
- Meredith Prunkard: vice president of Current Programming for Original Productions
- Rodney Damon Collins: Acclaimed actor, recognized for his role in “Central Authority”
- Ria: Founder of Femme on Film, Femme on TV and Hearts and Vaginas
- Ashley Bernardi: CEO and founder of Nardi Media, LLC
- Danielle D. Smith: Award-winning author and filmmaker
A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit three charities: Powerful Beginnings, Freedom from Abuse and Echo Foundation.
