Celltech makes breast cancer donations

QUINCY — Locally-owned Celltech Electronics made two donations totaling $3,100 via checks for $1550.00 each to QMG Foundation Oncology Patient Assistance Fund and to the
Blessing Breast Center.

The donation checks were presented on Friday, November 18 as the conclusion of Celltech’s October 2022 CARES campaign, anchored around a custom-designed t-shirt whose graphic featured the traditional breast cancer pink awareness ribbon incorporated into the word HOPE. The shirt was produced by locally-owned Landmarx and available at all Celltech locations for $20.

“We decided to offer this tee as a way for those impacted by breast cancer to have a way to
express Hope,” says Celltech owner Katrina Wellman.

Celltech generously underwrote the cost, so every dollar from these tees could directly benefit
local breast cancer patients.

“We are excited that our communities supported with us in making this first time campaign a success, teaming together to assist local breast cancer patients,” Wellman said.

In addition to the shirts, Celltech featured a special 2022 collection of Breast Cancer Pink
Accessories; 20 percent of the profit from the sale of which was included the donations.

Celltech operates two stores Quincy, plus stores in Canton, Missouri and other Illinois locations in Jerseyville, Pittsfield and Rushville.
