Culver-Stockton College’s student honors art exhibit to be presented Saturday

Culver-Stockton 1

CANTON, Mo. — The Culver-Stockton Fine Arts Department will present its annual student honors exhibit from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 5 in the Mabee Art Gallery with an awards ceremony at 4 p.m.

The exhibit features works selected through a jury process, highlighting the creativity, dedication and skill of Culver-Stockton’s art majors.

This year’s show will be judged by Adriana Brown, an interdisciplinary artist based in Hannibal. Brown studied art and psychology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. After working in the mental health field for several years, she transitioned into a full-time career as an artist and business owner. She now exhibits and sells artwork across the United States, instructs local art classes and co-owns the Alliance Art Gallery in Hannibal. She works primarily with acrylic and watercolor.

Culver-Stockton’s president and provost will recognize outstanding pieces during the event.

The exhibit is free and open to the public.
