HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal Arts Council invites people age 13 and up to explore the world of batik, an ancient art form that combines fabric dyeing and wax resist techniques. A workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S. Main.

This hands-on workshop offers participants the opportunity to create a piece of art, guided by a skilled instructor who will teach the timeless techniques of batik. Whether you’re an experienced artist or a beginner, this class provides a creative and fun environment to experiment with color and design.

The cost to attend is $25 for members and $30 for the general public. All materials will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
