Double Hearts Ranch to present ‘The Legend of the Donkey’ and Easter egg hunt April 19

MONROE CITY, Mo. — Double Hearts Ranch, 42451 Oakland Road, will present “The Legend of the Donkey” from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, followed by an Easter egg hunt. The event features a unique, interactive experience including live donkeys.
Pastor Larry Hinds will share The Legend of the Donkey, a story that connects the donkey’s role in Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem with the Christian message of faith, humility and sacrifice. Children will have the rare opportunity to meet and interact with Ernie and Trigo, the live donkeys at Double Hearts Ranch, and see firsthand the distinctive crosses on their backs—just like in the story.
After the Easter story and donkey interaction, an Easter egg hunt will be held throughout the grounds of Double Hearts Ranch. Families are encouraged to bring baskets for collecting eggs and enjoy a morning of faith, fun and fellowship in a scenic ranch setting.
Double Hearts Ranch is a family-friendly destination offering a variety of community events, equine experiences and outdoor activities throughout the year with a mission is to bring people together through faith, nature and meaningful connections.
