Down Country offering Rhinestones & Rodeo fundraiser on Jan. 11

Rhinestones

QUINCY — Down Country’s annual fundraising event, Rhinestones & Rodeo, will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, at The Ambiance.

Doors will open at 5 p.m., kicking off a night with live and silent auctions led by professional auctioneer Jeff Oberling, dancing and a variety of food stations. Guests will enjoy a plated dinner and an open bar. Tickets are available at UpAtDownCountry.com.

Down Country utilizes Down syndrome to provide an overview of disability awareness. However, it is not an organization for only for those affected by Down syndrome but for anyone who learns outside of the box.

Down Country invites attendees to embrace the unique Country Black Tie dress code. For cowboys, this could range from a tuxedo or suit and tie to dress slacks and a Sunday shirt or even the finest pair of Sunday morning jeans. For the ladies, it could mean anything from a little black dress to something glittery and glamorous.

The event provides families who often find themselves in sterile or clinical environments a chance to enjoy a night out. All proceeds from this event will benefit Down Country’s mission to provide training, education and positive awareness for people who learn and live outside the box. Down Country operates without state or federal funding.
