Free Victorian Era American Frontier dance lessons start April 18 in Hannibal

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Admiral Coontz Recreation Center will offer free Victorian Era American Frontier dance lessons beginning Monday for individuals 18 and older.

Informational meetings will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 18 and 25 at the center. All other lessons will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 3 p.m. at Home Bank, 3817 McMasters Avenue, beginning May 21. Instructor Jane Davenport suggests interested participants wear comfortable clothing for the lessons. Upon completion of the lessons, Davenport hopes to form a group that will exhibit dances at Hannibal festivals.
