HANNIBAL, Mo. — The upcoming exhibits at the Hannibal Arts Council showcase a range of media. They will be on display from Feb. 28 through March 22 at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S. Main.

The exhibit opens from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, featuring an artist talk at 6 p.m. The exhibits will remain open to the public until March 22. This event is made possible through the support of private donors and funding from the Missouri Arts Council.

The exhibits will feature work from Khloee Hinton of Hannibal with her photography, Jenni Hughes of Springfield, Ill., showcasing intricate graphite drawings, Greg Celenze of Hannibal presenting oil paintings and Andrew Hogge of Quincy, Ill., with equally colorful acrylic paintings.

Local artists will submit works for the “Light & Shadow” open show, which will explore contrasts in black, white and all shades in between. The Photography Channel will display digital images reflecting the theme “Black & White”, and featured photographer Nick Bischoff will showcase his “Thrift Store Selfies” collection from Seattle, Wash.

HAC gallery hours through March 22 are noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays (during exhibits only). For more information on the current exhibit and other HAC programs, contact the Hannibal Arts Council at findit@hannibalarts.com, 573-221-6545 or visit hannibalarts.com.
