Hannibal Arts Council offering basic sewing skills class to students in grades 2-5 on March 8

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal Arts Council continues Art Adventures, its popular creative project series, at 5:15 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S. Main.

The March Art Adventure is a creative project for students in grades 2-5 offering the opportunity to learn a few sewing skills.

Participants will learn about sewing on a button and a few basic stitches to make a felt animal bookmark. A variety of felt, embroidery floss and buttons will be provided to allow participants to create a bookmark of their favorite animal. The project will be led by local artist and educator Stephen Schisler.
