Hannibal Arts Council offering free art project on Halloween for youths in K-5th grade

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal Arts Council will offer a free activity for youths in K-5th grade from 5 p.m. until supplies are gone on Thursday, Oct. 31, as part of the Historic Hannibal Marketing Council’s Main Street Trick or Treat event in downtown Hannibal.

Youths are invited to come inside the Hannibal Arts Council at 105 S. Main to create the project and get some candy. The Scary Spider is a quickly-made creative project using glow-in-the-dark pony beads and chenille stems. All supplies for the project will be provided. Participants may stop by. Reservations are not required.

Program sponsors helping make the project free for all are the George H. Riedel Private Foundation, General Mills Hometown Grant Program, The Community Foundation of West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri, Missouri Arts Council, HAC Program Scholarship Donors and the Jesse David Cox Memorial Fund.
