Hannibal Concert Association to present St. Louis-based handbell choir Saturday at Parker Theater

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal Concert Association’s third concert of its 2024-25 concert season is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, with the award-winning Gateway Ringers in the Roland Fine Arts Center’s Parker Theater on the campus of HLGU. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

The Gateway Ringers is an auditioned community choir comprised of handbell ringers from the St. Louis metropolitan area. Their mission is to inspire excellence in musicianship and heighten awareness of handbell music. The group was formed in the fall of 1995 and is a member of the Handbell Musicians of America at the Area VIII and national levels. Gateway performs using six octaves of Malmark handbells and six octaves of Malmark Choirchimes. Their performance is funded in part by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency, through a Community Touring grant.

Season, patron and single tickets may be bought online at https://hannibal-concert-association.square.site. They also will be available at the door before concerts. Single ticket sales are $25 for adults and $5 for students. Season passes are available for individuals for $65 and couple/parent(s) w/children for $125. Patron memberships are available from $175 to $1,000, with those receiving multiple season passes at each level.  HCA season ticket holders also benefit from free/discounted admission to performances of the Keokuk Concert Association and Quincy Civic Music Association.
