Heinze Dance Academy to present benefit recital Saturday with proceeds going to the QHS Theatre Department
QUINCY — Students of Heinze Dance Academy will present a benefit Christmas recital at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Quincy Junior High School Auditorium. Proceeds will go to the QHS Theatre Department.
Students ages 3 and up will present holiday dances to various Christmas music, such as “Winter Wonderland”, “Frosty the Snowman” and “Sleigh Ride.”
The Heinze Dance Troupe will also be featured throughout the program. Featured troupe dancers are:
- senior Charly Nicholson will perform a hip hop solo
- senior Avery Hansen will perform a jazz solo
- senior Alaina Bange will perform a lyrical solo
- senior Leah Vandament will perform a modern solo
- senior Kaitlyn Stegeman will perform a jazz solo
- seniors Charlotte Smith and Sophia Gold will perform a lyrical solo.
Members of the Heinze Dance Troupe will be showcased in several different styles of dance by dances either choreographed by Brenna Phillips and/or Beth Heinze.
Tickets are $12.00 each and will be available at the door.
Heinze Dance Academy is owned and operated by Heinze, a 1991 graduate of Stephens College. Phillips, an instructor, is a 2022 graduate of the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in dance.
