Heroes and Starmen winter music festival set for Jan. 20-22 at State Street Theater

QUINCY — Maverick Messmer Management LLC is inviting people to the first Heroes and Starmen Winter Music Festival Jan. 20-22 at State Street Theater.

The event kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, with Country Night. Local band Southern Rail opens the show, followed by The Boys from central Iowa and ends with Brushville. The Boys and Brushville will be playing original music.

Saturday, Jan. 21, will include two events, starting with an afternoon filled with rock and pop. It kicks off at noon with Trifecta, Rain City Addiction at 2 p.m. followed by mash-up band FUN DMC at 4 p.m. DJ Brian Entrup will keep things moving during intermission at 6:30 p.m. The night continues with Retro Nerds from St. Louis, with an 80’s music show featuring hits by David Bowie, Queen, Billy Idol and more.

Sunday, Jan. 22 will feature local bands with an easy flow. Performers and bands include Kyle Trudell, Craig Corzatt, Levi Herman and the Lucky Whoreshoes, and Rodney Hart and the Second Stringers. The event will wrap up with the popular Matt Roberts Blues Band.

Food will be available during the weekend from Calftown Café and Big Bros BBQ food truck. All ages are invited.

Tickets are available online in advance or at the door. Weekend passes are $40. Advance tickets to each show are $10. Tickets at the door are $20 per show. Advance tickets can be bought at outhousetickets.com.
