January: Clean up your act

clean up your act

“Clean Up Your Act” is a monthly engaging segment for your entertainment brought to you by Autoshine Car Wash located at 529 N. 48th and 2500 Broadway in Quincy.

What is it?

Our Muddy Buddy crew will be selecting the best and the worst comment from our Facebook page every month. The best comment gets a free car wash from Autoshine and the worst comment gets to be publicly admonished with the Shame Shame Bell. (insert shame shame bell gif). It’s all in good fun and a reminder that what you write in that comment section is visible to our 25K local Facebook following. Muddy River News loves the engagement and as always, thank you for watching, reading and supporting your local news.

January’s Best Comment

The award for the best comment goes to Megan Henson on a post for a story we posted titled: “HGTV names Hannibal as most charming small town in Missouri.” In the comment section, Megan says, “Fantastic..we have a beautiful little river town.”

Mike Kopo responded to her comment with a reply leaning on the negative side stating that the Hannibal community has a drug problem. Megan replied, “sorry that’s how you view this town…I wish you the best.

Good for you Megan! Hometown love AND brushing the negativity off the shoulder all in one comment thread wins you the free carwash from Autoshine Car Wash.

January’s Worst Comment

This month the comment we are ringing the bell at goes to James Cannon on a post titled: Letter to the Editor: “Brink excels at building strong relationships, while interactions with Troup as Mayor”.

Cannon wrote, “As someone who gets sick of reading politics I can now unfollow this page because it’s getting annoying.

Ok James. Do you get mad at your local auto mechanic for giving too many oil changes?
