Jeep Run starting in New London on April 12 to benefit man battling prostate cancer

NEW LONDON, Mo. — A Jeep Run benefit for Jerry Barger on Saturday, April 12, will start at the Lions Club in New London. Registration will be held from 9 to 11 a.m.
The event will kick off with a Jeep Run bar hop, stopping at a few local bars and pubs in New London, Hannibal and Monroe City and back to New London — Tubby’s Grub and Pub, Broadway Bar and Grill, The Dugout Bar and Grill and Sweetwater Distillery.
The Jeep Run is not exclusive to Jeeps. All vehicles are welcome to register. Patrons at each stop can join in supporting Berger. As the route ends at the New London Lions Club, awards will be presented for Jeeps that have registered for the run and a raffle drawing for a custom laser-burned Jeep Logo on a set of cornhole boards for people who went on the route. Other raffle items will be three firearms, a second set of custom surprise design cornhole boards, meat bundles, outdoor décor and basket raffles.
After the run, participants are invited to stay for a dinner, more raffles, silent auction and DJ. All proceeds will support Barger in his fight against cancer
Barger is facing the challenges of prostate cancer, which he was diagnosed with in 2021. He is navigating the complexities of metastasis and ongoing treatment and is undergoing a second round of radiation and chemotherapy.
