‘Keesha and the Bees’ to be performed Friday at JWCC auditorium

QUINCY — The Beat Arts Academy will perform “Keesha and the Bees,” an original story and dance production, at 7 p.m. Friday, May 27 in the John Wood Community College auditorium.

The original production was written by Linda Ross Buechting in collaboration with Shawn Jones, the Beat Arts Academy owner. Jones choreographed the entire production to be performed by a diverse group of dancers ages 4-14.

In addition to “Keesha and the Bees,” the academy will be performing jazz, hip hop and modern dances.

Tickets to the production are $10. They can be purchased at both Quincy Hy-Vee locations.

Keesha and the Bees children’s books produced by Linda and Shawn will be sold at the performance.
