Kids get to make six Christmas-themed projects at HAC Holly Jolly Holiday workshop set for Dec. 2
HANNIBAL, MO – The Hannibal Arts Council is offering its popular Holly Jolly Holiday workshop on Saturday, Dec. 2. There will be two session options to choose from — 10:00 a.m. to noon or 1 to 3 p.m.
Participants grades K thru 5 will create a Rudolph the Reindeer puppet, clothespin Christmas tree, French Hen ornament, curly Christmas tree cards, sweet treat pots and a holiday trail mix station.
Participants can make an extra card to be donated to Madi’s Kindness Projects. The organization will then distribute the cards to local skilled nursing facilities during the holiday season.
Cost for participation is $10 per child. Scholarships are available upon request. Due to popularity and limited number of project supplies, both paid and scholarship registrations are required by going online to https://hannibalartscouncil.eventbrite.com, calling the Hannibal Arts Council at 573-221-6545 or stopping by the HAC office, 105 S Main, from noon to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
This year’s signature sponsor is James O’Donnell Funeral Home. Additional sponsors are the General Mills Hometown Grantmaking Program, Riedel Foundation, Community Foundation of West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency. Program scholarships are available with support from the Jesse David Cox Memorial Fund and HAC Program Scholarship Fund.
