QUINCY — The Kroc Center will bring the “Let Me Run” program to the community this spring. This free, character-building program empowers boys ages 8-14 through the power of running, teaching essential life skills, fostering personal growth and building a strong sense of community.

The program will run from March 3 to April 21, with sessions held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. Runners will train using The Kroc Center’s track, gym and outdoor spaces as weather permits. No sessions will be held March 17 and April 21.

Over the course of seven weeks, participants will stay active, develop confidence, resilience and teamwork, all while preparing for the final celebratory 5K race on May 10.

In a press release, Let Me Run instructor Jill Clark said, “Let Me Run isn’t just about running. It’s about helping boys build confidence, develop teamwork skills and learn important life lessons. We’ve seen firsthand how this program can make a lasting impact, and we can’t wait to get started.”

This program is free. Pre-registration is required. Registration is open through March 1. To sign up, visit  krocquincy.org. For more information, contact Kate Shuker at Katherine.Shuker@usc.salvationarmy.org.
