HANNIBAL, Mo. — An evening of live jazz music, social dancing and community connection is set for Friday at the YMCA of Hannibal. The Hannibal Area Swing Association is the host of the event, designed for music lovers, dance enthusiasts and anyone interested in enjoying the rhythms of jazz.
The night will kick off with a beginner dance lesson at 7 p.m. The live band will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or a first-time participant, the dance floor will be open to everyone. Partners are not required. If dancing isn’t your style, simply enjoy the music in a relaxed atmosphere.
There is no cover charge to attend, but donation buckets will be available. Contributions will go toward supporting the Hannibal Area Swing Association to cover event costs such as venue rental and advertising, as well as a separate donation bucket for the band to show appreciation for their time and talent and for gas money.
