Live music to return to Chandler Park beginning June 4 with Downtown Summer Concert Series

MACOMB, Ill. — The Downtown Summer Concert Series is back for another season of local entertainment in Macomb’s Chandler Park, beginning June 4.
The series kicks off with a performance by Mari Loehrlein, taking the stage from noon to 1 p.m. at the gazebo in historic downtown Macomb. Guests are encouraged to bring their lunch and a lawn chair or a blanket to sit and enjoy the afternoon concert.
Other performances for this summer are:
- June 4 – Mari Loehrlein
- June 11 – Prairieland Barbershop Chorus
- June 18 – Bill Maakestad
- July 2 – Western Ramblers Bluegrass Ensemble
- July 9 – Rooftop Big Band
- July 16 – Nauvoo Pageant Bagpipe Band
- July 23 – Troublesome Ridge Bluegrass Band
- July 30 – WIU Jazz Combo.
All performances will begin at noon and conclude at 1 p.m. The Western Illinois Museum, 201 S. Lafayette, will be the alternate concert location in case of poor weather.
In a press release, Marketing and Downtown Development Director Savannah Ballard said, “We are excited to keep the music going all summer long, rain or shine, thanks to our partnership with the Western Illinois Museum.”
