Lorenzo Bull Park to be location for Dogwood Parade party and festival on May 3

QUINCY — Friends of the Lorenzo Bull House will welcome parade watchers to Quincy’s front lawn for the Dogwood Parade.
The Lorenzo Bull Park, 1550 Maine, home to the Women’s City Club, will offer a day of fun, festivities, and front-row parade views from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In a press release, Dick Wellman, president of Friends of the Lorenzo Bull House, said, “We have the best parade seats in town. Come watch the parade with us at the beautiful Lorenzo Bull Park and stay all day.”
All activities this year are free. Offerings have been expanded, with music, a photo booth, amusement rides, the Bicentennial mobile museum debut and carriage rides offered.
Family-friendly fun: Interactive experiences with The Arts Center, The River Eagle Council, Quincy Doggy Paddlers, Just Jump, Quincy Axe Company and Homeward Bound Waggin’ Animal Rescue.
Food options: Big Bros BBQ, Rustic Canteen Mobile Bar, Nice N’ Chill Grill, Dottie’s Ozark Funnel Cakes, Sweet Tweets-serving ice cream and freeze-dried candy, American Burrito Company, The Munchbox for Breakfast and Lunch and Cousins Maine Lobster.
“The festival is the perfect spot to grab lunch after the parade,” Wellman said. “The fun isn’t just for kids. Adults can enjoy free house tours sponsored by Peters Heating & Air, live music and shopping.”
Volunteers are needed to keep the festival running smoothly.
“Shifts are short, tasks are simple, and accommodations can be made as needed,” Wellman said.
