March winner of Delta Tire’s Pothole of the Month

The Guinness World Record for largest pothole is in the UK and is nearly 65 feet across. That’s less of a pothole and more of an accidental pond.
Potholes are nature’s way of reminding us that smooth rides are a privilege, not a right. Let that sink in.
Some are subtle ankle twisters; others are small dark vortexes that have swallowed more hubcaps than a junkyard.
Everyone seems to think that “their” pothole or “their” street is the worst. It’s classic human condition. Now here’s your opportunity to prove it.
We asked you to submit your photos of potholes in Quincy and the surrounding area under our Pothole of the Month posts on Facebook. The photo with the most “likes” receives a free alignment from Delta Tire & Custom Wheels. This month’s winner is located on Lincoln Hill and submitted by Beau Becraft. He put his foot in the photo for good measure and told us he has a 2×2 that keeps coming back every year. Well Beau, that annual crater isn’t just an unlicensed chiropractor it just so happened to be your winning ticket, so maybe you’ll look at him a little differently every time you drive by that charming chasm.
Submit your entry for the month of April in the comment section under this post. Remember, it must be your photo of a pothole. Memes are welcomed because who doesn’t like a good meme but not accepted as a contest entry.
And for all the people waiting to comment that there should be no potholes because of the Mayor-Elect’s promise, keep in mind that her promise included city roads, Quincy and the surrounding areas are made up of plenty of state and county roads that we can snap. Be safe while photographing your hole-y terrors and give it your best shot.
