QUINCY — Maverick’s Landing Zone Lounge and Venue, 500 S. Eighth, will celebrate Friday and Saturday, July 12 and 13, to recognize one year of business in the downtown.

Friday night is billed as country night, with Saturday labeled rock night. Doors will open at 5 p.m. each night with music beginning at approximately 6 p.m. and ending around 10:30-11 p.m. Bands scheduled to perform are The Boys, Mockstar, Southern Rail Band and Shades in Blue.

The Boys, who have been performing together since 2007, are returning to Quincy for the third time after playing for Freedom Fest and local theaters. Local band Southern Rail Band will open for The Boys, playing country and soft rock music.

Mockstar is a national touring hairball 80s tribute band from Chicago that puts on a three-hour rock show. Music will include 80’s hits, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Warrant, Journey and more. Local band Shades in Blue, a four-person rock band, will open for Mockstar.

Ticket price online is $10 for general admission and $30 for VIP. To purchase tickets for Friday night, visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/maverick-calftown-fest-the-boys-july-12-tickets-869345103607
