QUINCY — Dick Brothers Brewery, in partnership with the Quincy Children’s Museum and Dick Brothers Events, is sponsoring the return of MayFest from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, at the Dick Brothers Brewery Complex on York between Ninth and 10th.

This year’s MayFest coincides with the Adams County Bicentennial, celebrating 200 years of history, community and tradition. The Bicentennial Mobile Museum will be featured at the event, giving attendees the chance to explore and learn about the heritage of Adams County.

“We’re thrilled to host this annual event to showcase Quincy’s German history and kick off one of the first events of spring,” Joi Cuartero Austin, co-organizer of MayFest, said in a press release. “This year, we’re especially excited to celebrate alongside the Adams County Bicentennial, and we’re proud to feature the Bicentennial Mobile Museum and continue to honor the past while enjoying the present.”

Austin also sits on the executive committee and is co-chair of marketing for the Adams County Bicentennial.

MayFest offers local craft beers, tunnel tours, family activities organized by the Quincy Children’s Museum and axe throwing with the Quincy Axe Company. The event will feature live music, traditional German games and food trucks.

“We are always so happy to partner with Dick Brothers Brewery to provide engaging family activities at MayFest,” said Amy Peters, executive director of the Quincy Children’s Museum. “Thanks to generous community support, we’re able to really kick it up a notch with new, interactive activities for the whole family to enjoy. MayFest has become an event that people of all ages look forward to, and we can’t wait to be part of it.”
