QU Hawk Express jazz band to host annual Christmas concert on Tuesday

QUINCY ā The Quincy University Music Department will host its Hawk Express jazz band Christmas concert at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, in the Quincy University cafeteria, 1800 College Avenue. The concert is free and open to the public.
Festive pieces with a jazzy twist will be performed as well as several standard jazz works. The band will perform “This Christmas,” “Santa Rocks the House,” “My Favorite Things,” “Sleigh Full of Saxes” and a variety of other tunes. The band is under the direction of Christine Damm, dean of the School of Fine Arts and Communication.
An all-you-can-eat dinner buffet will be available for purchase for $8 per person.
