Quilt show to be held July 4 in conjunction with Hancock County Bicentennial

CARTHAGE, Ill. — Hancock County Piecemakers Quilt Guild will present “Stitches in Time,” a quilt show in celebration of Hancock County’s Bicentennial, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, July 4 at First Christian Church, 701 Wabash. Admission is free.

The quilts to be displayed over the church pews are at least 50 years old, with many of them close to the century mark. Brief stories of the quilt’s history, design and/or unique features will be included.
