QUINCY — Students who have taken classes at Quincy Art Center between January 2022 and July 2023 are invited to submit their artwork for the next exhibit.

Art Center instructors are also invited to share their class example artwork or their personal artwork that was created within that time frame. The artwork can be from what was created in Art Center classes or inspired by the classes. In addition, members of the Art Center are invited to submit artwork they have created or have in their personal collections.

The Students and Instructors of Quincy Art Center Exhibit will be held in conjunction with the 14th annual members exhibit and the AfroNOW: A Journey Through the Blackest Space on the Other Side of Time exhibit from Aug. 19-Oct. 28. An open reception will be held Saturday, Aug. 19, from 1-3 p.m. with AfroNOW artist Stacey A. Robinson giving a talk at 1:30 p.m., and a gallery discussion with exhibiting students, instructors, and members at 2:30 p.m.

Students, instructors, and members may submit their artwork from Aug. 2 to 5 between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. A full prospectus can be viewed online at quincyartcenter.org.

The Art Center is open Wednesday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. For more information about the exhibits, visit quincyartcenter.org or call (217) 223-5900.
