Quincy Art Center seeking local artwork for Mary S. Oakley and Lee Lindsay Artist Showcase

QUINCY — The Quincy Art Center is seeking artwork for the upcoming Mary S. Oakley and Lee Lindsay Artist Showcase, open to artists 18 years of age and older living within a 50-mile radius of Quincy.

Artists may enter original work in any medium. All works must have been completed within the last three years (nothing before November 2019) and not have been previously exhibited at the Art Center or their satellite exhibit spaces. Collaborative artwork is not eligible.

Each artist may submit up to three works. There is a $15 entry fee per artwork. Members receive a $5 discount per artwork. A signed entry form must be turned in with the artwork. Only works hand-delivered to the Art Center during designated times will be eligible. Works must fit through a standard double doorway. All entries must be hand-delivered and picked up by the artist or their agent.

Drop-off dates are Oct. 28 and 29 and Nov. 2 and 3 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Artists can view full details and prospectus at quincyartcenter.org. The exhibit will be on display from Nov. 18 to Jan. 7. The opening reception is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 18, from 7-9 p.m., with awards at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend the reception.
