Quincy artists rewarded with Best of Show and fourth place awards at Shaw Art Fair in St. Louis

QUINCY — Two Quincy artists received awards at the Shaw Art Fair in St. Louis on Oct. 5-6. Ceramicist Steve Ryan was presented with a fourth-place award in fine craft for his Obvara glazed pottery. Ann Miller Titus received the Best of Show award for her fiber artworks.

The Shaw Art Fair, established in 1993, is organized by the Shaw Neighborhood Organization. This year featured the work of 120 artists from across the country. 

In a press release, Miller Titus said, “It’s a great honor to be juried into this prestigious event and an even greater honor to be presented with an award considering the quality of the work exhibited. I am grateful and thrilled that two Quincy artists were recognized with prizes.”

Both artist are member/owners of the Alliance Art Gallery in Hannibal, Mo., and exhibit their work throughout the region.
